White papers & guides

Longer reads than a blog post, written by the firm’s attorneys. Name and email, one-time link, and the PDF opens.

The short answer

Tresp Law, APC publishes plain-English white papers on California estate planning, trusts, trust administration, probate and trust and estate litigation. Pick a paper, enter your name and email, and we send a one-time link. The link opens the PDF. We verify the address so the only people on the list are people who asked.

These are the papers published to the Tresp Law library in our client portal. When a paper is added or revised there, it appears here the same day.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Why do I have to confirm my email to download?

Confirming the address keeps mistyped and fake inboxes off the list. You get the paper when you click the link.

What will you do with my email address?

Send the paper you asked for, and occasional related notes you can unsubscribe from. We do not sell the list.

The link expired — what do I do?

Links last 30 minutes. Request the paper again and open the new link.

Is a white paper legal advice?

No. The papers are general information about California law, not advice about your situation, and reading one does not create an attorney-client relationship. For your own circumstances, schedule a consultation.

This page is general legal information, not legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship. California trust and probate law is fact-specific and deadlines are unforgiving — please speak with a qualified attorney about your own circumstances.
